Description
The sheep shed is constructed of steel structure, which saves the construction cost compared with the brick wall structure. In addition, the construction is simpler and the later demolition is more convenient.
The steel structure sheep shed adopts cement ground. There are two main reasons for low in the middle and high on both sides. First of all, it can reduce the feces and urine for easy cleaning. Second, it can prevent the influx of strong winds in winter.
Sheep shed construction
The sheep steel structure shed shall be located in a high, dry, well drained and sunny place. The ground of the sheep shed should be more than 20 cm above the ground. The general requirements are firmness, warmth and ventilation.
The area of steel structure sheep shed can be determined according to the feeding scale. Generally, 1.0-2.0 square meters shall be ensured for each sheep. Each sheep house should not raise more sheep, otherwise it is difficult to manage and increase the chance of infectious diseases. When there are a large number of sheep, in order to facilitate feeding management, feeding channels should be set up, and both sides of the channels should be separated by iron bars or wooden poles.
The height of the steel structure shed depends on the area of the sheep shed. If it is a closed sheep house, the height should consider the area exposed to the sun. Large scale breeding requires a delivery room with thermal equipment, preferably a warm pit.
There should be a sports ground near the entrance and exit of the sheep house. The sports ground should also be high and well drained.
The area of the activity field can be determined according to the number of sheep, but it must be larger than the sheep shed to ensure the full activity of sheep.
The sports ground shall be surrounded by walls and trees. There should be a place for shade and shelter in summer.
Feed tank
There is a feed trough in front of the sheep bed, and the surface should be smooth, impermeable, acid resistant and wear-resistant. Both sides of the trough bottom shall be flat and smooth to allow sheep to graze. The width of the trough top is generally 0.5 ~ 0.6m, the height along one side of the sheep is 0.25 ~ 0.3m, and the height on the other side is 0.6 ~ 0.8m. In addition, cattle brushes and feeding tubes can be used in sheep sheds.
