Before the construction of structural steel works, we need to make corresponding preparations to ensure the construction efficiency and safety. What preparations are required before structure steel welding?

Preparation before welding of structure steel

1. Check whether the drawings are complete, carefully digest the drawings, and determine the welding rod, welding parameters and welding resistance sequence.

2. Check whether the material preparation is complete and whether the structure steel dimension meets the drawing requirements.

3. Check whether there is oil and other explosives within 10m of the welding site. If the temporary workers have such items, they must deal with them in time. They should notify the safety engineer to go to the site for inspection, take temporary safety measures, and make fire prevention preparations for steel structures.

4. Before welding the structural steel, check whether the power line, lead wire and connection point of the welding machine are intact. The zero line of the electric welding machine and the working return line of the electric welding machine shall not be connected to the pipeline and the machine tool. The working return line and the handle of the electric welding tongs shall be well insulated. The shell grounding must comply with the safety regulations. All circuits shall be independent or isolated.
